Deputy Policy Director

AMBREEN ASLAM

Ambreen is a sophomore at the University at Albany double-majoring in Political Science with a Global Politics concentration and Business Administration. In addition to her roles in the Student Assembly, Ambreen is an Executive Board member of the Model United Nations team and is interning for Congressman Paul Tonko.

 

Hobbies: Learning Latin, crisis simulations

KEVIN ROGERS

Kevin Rogers hails from Long Island, New York and is a sophomore at Nassau Community College studying Liberal Arts, with a concentration in social sciences. At Nassau, Kevin is a  Senator for the Student Government Association, and a member of Phi Theta Kappa. Kevin is passionate about New York State politics, even completing an internship with Governor Andrew M. Cuomo’s campaign in 2018. Kevin is also passionate about all students in the SUNY system and is working tirelessly to advocate on their behalf. 

 

Hobbies: Reading, Writing Opinion Pieces, Exercising, Policy Research

Events Manager

JENNIE MAUK

Jennie Mauk is currently a sophomore at Buffalo State, where she majors in Journalism and minors in Political Science. At Buffalo State, Jennie is the Administrative Vice President of Public Relations for the United Students Government, where she manages social media, designs and promotes flyers, and strives for fluid communication and event promotion across all organizations. She is excited to work alongside Vice President Kate Wood to organize internal and external events for the Student Assembly. As Events Manager, Jennie looks forward to building relationships with institutions and individuals to organize events and create platforms for advocacy, opportunities, and student representation.

Financial Manager

ERIC WEINMAN

Eric is entering his junior year at the University at Buffalo, majoring in Computer Engineering, Political Science with a Public Law concentration, and Mathematics-Economics. Eric is from Nassau County, New York where he was highly engaged with his high school's Robotics and Model UN teams. At the University at Buffalo, Eric served as the SA Senate Chairperson and re-wrote and codified many of the Senate rules and procedures for increased efficiency and transparency. Eric has been further involved as the Treasurer of the UB Association of Computing Machinery chapter, Student Justice of the Student Wide Judiciary, and as the Treasurer for a non-profit organization. Eric is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer as well as co-founder of a financial services company and Assistant Treasurer for the Student Government.

SHARON JOHN

Sharon John is a sophomore at the University at Buffalo, majoring in Pharmacy. Ever since she began her education she knew she did not want to be just another number in a large institution. She soon understood that her heart's passion was to help serve her community in every capacity she could. Her first step in advocating for students began when she became a member of the Student Government and the Chair of the Legislative Committee at UB. That position catapulted her into being an International Admissions Ambassador for her school. Working and mentoring over 400 students, she realized that student affairs and working for their easy transition is a commitment she wanted to take on for the next 4 years of her college career. She was chosen to be an Orientation Leader and Resident Advisor for 2019-2020. ​
