AISHA ADAM BECHIR

Aisha Adam Bechir is a senior at SUNY at Buffalo studying economics with minors in Japanese and Law. Currently serving as her university’s Student Association President, Aisha represents the 20000+ undergraduates at UB. As the child of diplomats, Aisha has grown up across 14 countries, speaks 5 languages fluently, and hopes to pursue a career in constitutional law and public policy. Aisha’s favorite thing about college is the opportunity it provides to underprivileged communities to surpass conventional barriers and achieve excellence.

VICE PRESIDENT
LUCAS PASTWIK

Lucas is a student at SUNY Geneseo, majoring in Political Science with minors in History and Anthropology. He is passionate about student advocacy and public higher education, and throughout his undergraduate career, Lucas has worked to amplify student voices and strengthen collaboration between students, faculty, staff, and administrators across the State University of New York.
Lucas previously served as Chair of the University Center Caucus within the SUNY Student Assembly and currently serves as Student Association President at SUNY Geneseo. In these roles, he has focused on advancing accessibility and student engagement while advocating for policies that improve the student experience both on individual campuses and across the SUNY System.
As a student leader, Lucas values coalition building, public service, and creating spaces where students feel empowered to make meaningful change within their communities.

SECRETARY
DAKOTA RICHTER

Hello! My name is Dakota, and I proudly serve as the Executive Secretary for the SUNY Student Assembly, where I work to ensure effective communication, organizational transparency, and strong coordination across our leadership team and student body.
In this role, I manage internal documentation, support meeting logistics, and help ensure the voices of over 1.4 million SUNY students are uplifted through efficient and inclusive practices. In order to do this I’ve taken college keyboarding classes and can type 100+ words per minute.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Communication from SUNY Fredonia, where I also served as the President of the Student Association. Before being elected Executive Secretary, I was honored to serve as a University Representative and Caucus Chair within SUNYSA, experiences that deepened my commitment to student advocacy. I am now pursuing my master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs at Buffalo State University, continuing my dedication to student leadership and equity across the SUNY system

Bonnie Wong is a recent graduate of Stony Brook University, where she double-majored in Technological Systems Management and Music. Bonnie is now pursuing her MA in higher education administration. She served as Treasurer of the Undergraduate Student Government at Stony Brook University and was honored as Treasurer Emerita in recognition of her service and leadership. In her role, Bonnie is committed to promoting financial transparency, improving efficiency within the office, and ensuring the responsible allocation of resources to enhance student experience.
