Sustainability Committee

The Sustainability Committee is responsible for coordinating Student Assembly policy as it relates to environmental sustainability. The sustainability committee directly tackles issues relating to resource usage, carbon footprint, and waste production by connecting with campuses, assessing their needs, and trying to provide resources and resolutions to address the most pressing issues.

Srishty Amarnani

Chair of

Srishty Amarnani is a medical student at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University. She currently serves as Vice President of her medical school class and a medical volunteer at the Brooklyn Free Clinic. Before attending medical school, Srishty completed her Master in Public Health, with an emphasis on Environmental Health, at the University of California, Irvine. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Economics and Policy at the University of California, Berkeley, where she was able to work on the Zero Waste by 2020 campaign that was conducted UC system-wide as well as serve as the Director of Sustainability for the Associated Students of the University of California. Srishty hopes to connect her passion for sustainability with issues surrounding healthcare disparities and policy-driven solutions.

Grace McGrath

Vice Chair of Sustainability,

Grace McGrath is a Business Administration student at the University at Albany. She serves as the Vice President of Women Excelling in Business, Social Media Intern Coordinator for Careers On The Move, Marketing Intern for the UAlbany Center for Leadership and Service, Blogger for the UAlbany Office of Sustainability, Peer Career Advisor for the UAlbany Office for Career and Professional Development, Social Media Advisor for the Capital District Women's Employment Resource Center, and Public Relations and Digital Producer for the United Nations Association of the USA for UAlbany. Lastly, she has created a YouTube channel to teach people about sustainability because she wants to ban single-use plastic in New York.
