A note from President Austin Ostro:
"Happy new year!
As we enter this new decade, we here at the Student Assembly are looking forward to heightening the impact of our advocacy, expanding our network of student leaders, and enhancing the student experience across all of SUNY’s 64 campuses.
Many of you may remember our leadership team running a table at our most recent Student Assembly conference that prompted students to sign up for interviews for some of our vacant positions. Since those preliminary interviews, additional roles have opened up and we have designed new positions within our engagement department in order to expand our executive committee.
With that said, I am excited to present the Winter 2020 SUNY Student Assembly Executive Committee application.
In an effort to eliminate any barriers to applying, we have streamlined the application process, empowering students to put their name forward for positions simply by filling out the common application and attaching their resume and a writing sample. Writing samples are used to exemplify your technical skills, alongside your experience, and can be any essays, blog pieces, letters, etc. that you think best showcase your skill set.
If you already were interviewed at or post-conference, you do not need to apply a second time via this application. If you see any new positions that you would like to be additionally considered for that were not previously advertised, please email Chief of Staff Taryn Rackmyer at email@example.com before the application deadline.
If you have any questions regarding the application process, please direct them to Chief of Staff Rackmyer.
I wish you all the best of luck in your applications, and in the new year!"
